Atlanta Badinya Kaffo (ABK) is a non-profit community organization representing Gambians living in Atlanta, Georgia, and its surrounding areas. Founded on the principles of unity, compassion, and cultural preservation, ABK serves as a platform that connects Gambians through shared values, mutual support, and community-driven initiatives.
Our organization strives to create a strong and inclusive network where every member feels supported—whether in times of joy, hardship, or need. ABK is dedicated to building lasting relationships that strengthen our cultural identity and ensure that future generations remain connected to their heritage and community roots.
Through collective efforts, we aim to establish and sustain essential community institutions such as a central place of worship (Masjid), funeral home, learning center, daycare, and cemetery—each designed to serve the spiritual, educational, and social well-being of our members and beyond.
Central Place of Worship (Masjid)
The Masjid will serve as the spiritual heart of our community—a place for prayer, reflection, learning, and unity. It will strengthen our connection to faith and provide a sacred space for community gatherings and programs..
Funeral Home
Our planned funeral home will ensure that members of our community are honored and cared for in accordance with our values and traditions. It will offer comfort, dignity, and support during times of loss.
Learning Center
The learning center will focus on educational growth, offering programs that nurture both academic excellence and moral development. It will serve as a resource hub for children, youth, and adults alike.
Daycare
The daycare facility will provide a safe, nurturing environment for our youngest community members. It will allow parents to work and study with peace of mind while ensuring children receive quality care and early learning experiences.
Cemetery
The community cemetery will serve as a final resting place for our loved ones, upholding respect and cultural tradition. It will provide a dignified space for remembrance and prayer within our own community.
